About
This tool is designed to automate the task of reviewing and analysing mobile release activity.
The frequency of mobile app releases is a signal about the importance of mobile to a company: releasing a new version of a mobile app once a year suggests that mobile isn't a high priority for the company. Whereas a company releasing every month or more frequently demonstrates a high degree of focus on mobile.
New versions of an app released at consistent intervals throughout the year indicates a well-disciplined approach to mobile app development, most likely with extensive use of process automation. A version that is released within a few days of a previous version suggests an emergency release to fix defects. While defects may indicate poor test coverage, detecting and fixing problems rapidly is a sign of a mature software development capability.
